The original site of the
Seneca Drag Strip
is just behind Al's Body Shop, site of the reunion.
It was a 1/8 mile strip laid out on a street of the old
Shipyard.  The track operated in the mid-50's.

This young fellow, whose name I should have, gave an excellent narration on the history of the Seneca strip.
Veteran racers contributed to the discussion.
A view from the starting line.  The trees were not there in the 50's, but it's still pretty narow for two big cars.  The old flagman never said a word.
